PREPARE FOR THE NEWCOMER IN YOUR LIFE

Congrats mummies and daddies, a miracle of life is on the way to see the world soon! The antenatal class is designed to help you prepare for better for welcoming your new born

What is an antenatal class?

mom-birth-planAntenatal classes (sometimes called parentcraft classes) give you a chance to learn about what happens during labour and birth. They’ll also give you some tips on how to look after your new baby.

Antenatal classes are a great way to prepare for the birth of your baby. And they’re sometimes a good way to meet other expectant families in your area. Friends made at antenatal classes often meet each other through the first few months with a new baby and are often a source of support for each other.

Do i need antenatal classes if
I’ve already had a baby?

Antenatal classes are not just for first-time mums-to-be. If you’re having another baby, you may benefit from going again. Classes can be especially useful if you plan to give birth differently this time – if you had to have a caesarean the first time, for example. Classes may also be helpful if there is a big gap between your pregnancies. NCT also offers refresher courses for people who are already parents, so you may prefer to opt for one of these.
